Zotero

An in-depth guide to using Zotero.

Adding Multiple Citations

Sometimes we need to reference multiple sources for a single statement in our papers. For example, on the excerpt below, the sentence "Roundabouts without traffic-signal controls have been intensively studied and widely used. Previous research on modern roundabouts are mainly on the capacity], delay], geometric design, and safety of roundabouts without signal controls" references 9 separate papers:

We start the process the same as we do for single in-line citations: position the cursor, click the "Add/Edit Citation" button, and select our first citation:

In this case, we do not press the "Enter" key yet. Instead, select another source using the same search box:

Selecting that paper adds it to the citation we're building:

We can continue adding other papers to the citation--as many as we need. In this case we need these four:

Once we have all the papers added to out citation, hit "Enter" and the citation will be added to you paper:
