USGS Topographic Maps
Paul V. Galvin Library is a participant in the Federal Depository Library Program, and as such, receives 7.5 minutes topographic maps of the United States from the United States Geological Survey. The depository is receiving electronic versions of these maps, which are distributed in GeoPDF format. These new maps can be searched for in the online catalog of the library's holdings available on the library homepage.
Current editions of maps that were originally distributed to depositories in paper format have been digitized as normal PDF. These and the newer editions, in Geo PDF format, are available for download from the USGS Map Locator, below.
National Map Viewer
The National Map is a collaborative effort among the USGS and other Federal, State, and local partners to improve and deliver topographic information for the Nation.
USGS Map Locator
The USGS Map Locator allows for the download of 7.5 minute U.S. Topographic Maps in a zipped PDF format. It also is handy for use as an index of the maps, so that the ones held in a physical format by the library can be retrieved.
