What makes a book scholarly?
- Authors will usually be recognized experts in the subject and use more technical language, similar to academic journal articles.
- The publisher will be a recognized academic publisher (university publishers, scholarly associations, etc).
- Even though books usually are not peer reviewed, you should be able to find information from the publisher about how they determine high quality research.
