This is the IEEE's policy on the use of generative AI in research. It applied to all publications by the IEEE, including journals and conferences. The AI policy is located about 75% of the way down the page.

This is the policy developed by OpenAI, the creators of ChatGPT. It can be used as a fall-back if your publlisher does not have any policies regarding the use of generative AI.

AAAS, the publisher of "Science" and its sister journals does NOT allow the use of AI generated text. The full text is located a short distance down the page under the heading "authorship."

This Editorial in Nature lays out the publisher's ground rules for the use of generative AI tools in research published by the Springer-Nature publishing group.
