Paper Requirements
The assignment calls for three to five peer reviewed sources in addition to the materials you have read, watched and discussed in class.

Set up your library accounts.
You will probably need to request articles from other libraries for this assignment. Creating your accounts before you begin searching makes the search process easier.
- Article RequestMyILL is the library's interlibrary loan system. Use this when the library does not have the articles you need. Articles typically arrive 3-7 business days later, sometimes faster.

Multi-Database Search
Try our new multi-database search system. You'll find articles from Academic Search Premier, Project MUSE, JSTOR and Communication and Mass Media Complete simultaneously using this search box. Search options are very limited compared to individually searching each database. Not all results will be peer reviewed articles; some are reviews, editorials, newspaper articles, etc.
Enter your search terms here:
Use "and" or "or" to combine terms. Ex: to search for articles with both masculinity and danger in the titles or abstracts, enter masculinity and danger. To search for articles that have either masculinity or hypermasculinity, enter masculinity or hypermasculinity.
Searching Google Scholar
Even if you think you've found it all, you will want to search Google Scholar. Google Scholar searches return only scholarly results, not blogs, wikis, etc. Many, but not all, of the results will be peer reviewed. Save yourself time by connecting Google Scholar to library subscription information in the library links section of Scholar Preferences.
