1. Use the IIT Library Catalog to get the information on books and other items inside Galvin Library.
2. Always write down (or text yourself) the LOCATION and CALL NUMBER to find the book on the shelves. You cannot locate the item on the shelf without both pieces of information.
3. Use our map of locations to figure out where to go inside the library.
4. Ask a staff member to escort you to the right shelf.

The first step in finding a book, magazine, DVD, or any other item the library owns is to search the IIT Library Catalog. The following guides will show you how to use the catalog.
