What to do if IIT doesn't have a book.
Couldn't find the book you wanted in the IIT Library Catalog? Don't fret! There are two other catalogs we can use to find you a copy.
First, try looking in the I-Share Catalog. I-Share displays all the information about the books from 76 other universities that we can borrow from. I-Share functions in the same way as IIT Library Catalog, so you do not have to learn a new search method.
- Search the I-Share Catalog.
- Read a short guide about using I-Share.
- Watch a video about finding and requesting books in I-Share.
If none of the libraries we share with have an available copy, try searching WorldCat. WorldCat searches thousands of libraries across the United States.
- Search WorldCat (requires IIT ID number)
- Read a short guide about searching for and requesting books in WorldCat.
- Please note that WorldCat cannot be used to request textbooks. See our textbook policy here.
