5. Getting books IIT does not have             Print Page

Summary

1.  Search I-Share first to find books IIT does not have available.

2.  Search WorldCat for books neither I-Share nor IIT has available.

3.  Textbooks cannot be obtained using WorldCat; any requests will be denied.

What to do if IIT doesn't have a book.

Couldn't find the book you wanted in the IIT Library Catalog?  Don't fret!  There are two other catalogs we can use to find you a copy.

First, try looking in the I-Share Catalog.  I-Share displays all the information about the books from 76 other universities that we can borrow from.  I-Share functions in the same way as IIT Library Catalog, so you do not have to learn a new search method.

If none of the libraries we share with have an available copy, try searching WorldCat.  WorldCat searches thousands of libraries across the United States.
